Iván Gutiérrez Lemaitre

Since I was very young in the 70s and motivated by my father, I started photography. As you might expect, it is in the analogue or film era where my passion begins. My first camera, a Minolta XD made in Japan with Rokkor lenses, immersed me not only in “How Know”, but also in the search through my images as an expression of art.

Several years had to pass, from the revolution of cameras with autofocus lenses, etc., and the arrival of the digital era where the benefits with the development of the sensor and the digital laboratory, technology that as an engineer and technocrat finally capture my own vision as craftsman of light. As a Minolta user, to this day I still use lenses from several decades ago, true collector's gems mounted on Sony cameras.

Today, married for 39 years to my lifelong companion Carolina, father of two daughters and grandfather of five grandchildren, it is when I want the world to witness my inner eye when, inspired, I am able to see lights and shadows.
