Natural caves in the Tucabaca Valley, a few kilometers from the town of Santiago de Chiquitos, in the southeast of Chiquitano (department of Santa Cruz, Bolivia). They say that it was the last resting place of Miserendino, a hermit, an Italian migrant who lived there for years. Before it, thousands of years ago, it also served as a refuge for the inhabitants of the region who left behind cave paintings.

In addition to the name of the town, the Aguas Calientes in Roboré (Santa Cruz, Bolivia), are literally the waters of a river with temperatures above 40ºC. The Aguas Calientes river has medicinal and relaxing properties, in addition to being crystal clear waters, with soft sand, boils that emanate from the wells (the famous boils) and small fish that produce a natural exfoliation for those who are encouraged to immerse themselves. Meanwhile, toucans can be seen in the trees and herons in the waters, making the area a protected area.

The Lomas de Arena Regional Park is a protected area of Bolivia, located 12 km southeast of the city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra. It is famous for having dunes up to 12 meters high, with landscapes that encompass savannah, forest with dry trunks vestiges of a green area today flooded with sand that moves by the winds. It has a main lagoon that fills with river water during the rainy season.

Salty Reflect

The Uyuni salt flat, in the middle of the Andes in southern Bolivia, is the largest salt flat in the world. It is the legacy of a prehistoric lake that dried up and left a desert landscape of almost 11,000 square kilometers of shiny salt, rock formations and cactus islands. In the rainy season, the salt flat is flooded, to take advantage, as in the photo, in the early morning hours to capture the reflections and the immensity of the starry sky.
