About the photo & equipment

For those who live in a Mediterranean country, being able to walk along the beach and contemplate the sun between clouds as if timidly peeking out. It is to remain amazed contemplating the ocher colors that become more vivid, dyeing the infinite sea the same color in an act of communion and intimacy.

Mighty Flight

About the photo & equipment

Be attentive in the tropical early mornings, among the mist that sneaks through the trees of the Chiquitano jungle in Bolivia. Suddenly, the bird of prey emerges in its majestic flight, barely moving its wings as if floating in the air. Being able to shoot in burst using my old lens that is more than two decades old, and get the image at the precise moment when the bird sets in front of the sun as if announcing that it is part of that whole.

Framing The Sun

About the photo & equipment

On my bike rides (another of my passions), in the vicinity where I have a country house, where I live today (El Tamarisco), I am always struck by the old centennial Toborochi, typical of the Bolivian East. It was an afternoon with the atmosphere filled with smoke from the so-called chaqueos (setting fire to the weeds), a common practice in the area for agricultural crops. The sun was setting between the trunks as if the tree were framing the king star and thus saying goodbye to the day.

Giving Over

About the photo & equipment

In Santa Cruz (Bolivia), we have a park called Lomas de Arena. As its name indicates, it is walking on sand dunes where part of the landscape is still life, dry trunks like ghosts, what were once green forests full of wildlife. The photo represents the dedication to life, leaving a past represented by the silhouette of the trunk where only memory predominates.

About the photo & equipment

Once again I turn to the sea that amazes me so much, captivates me. This time I let myself be carried away with the silhouette of a ship, the same one that gives hope to the shipwrecked man lost in the immensity of the ocean that cries out for a miracle.

About the photo & equipment

Walking along the banks of the Paraguá River, in the north of the department of Santa Cruz (Bolivia), I saw the old naked tree, stripped of the green of its leaves, a witness to time, today surrendered to the river that slowly and noiselessly slides like life itself, always ahead waiting to be devoured when nothing supports them falls into the water on that journey that everyone expects but that no one knows where it takes you.

Being able to photograph Chochis from a viewpoint, a town located in the municipality of Roboré in the province of Chiquitos in the department of Santa Cruz (Bolivia), in a magical sunset contemplating the high plateaus, covered with green vegetation, placed on hills cut by the wind and the rain, lonely terrors of arid rock.
